Enoeda Keinosuke started Judo training from the age of 7, becoming 2nd Dan after 17 years. In 1952 he studied Karate at the Takushoku University With Nakayama Masatoshi as his main instructor. Later he was also taught by Nishiyama Hidetaka.

During 1963-1967 he taught in Indonesia, South Africa and America before moving to the United Kingdom.

Enoeda Keinosuke (The Tiger) became Chief Instructor for the JKA in Europe (London) taking over from Kanazawa Hirokazu.

Enoeda was the President of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) (European Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA)) and achieved the grade of 9th Dan, his death in March 2003, was a great loss to the world of karate, and to the honour and belief of martial arts.

Master Enoeda Sensei also said....

 

"The soul of Karate-do is peace and concern for all  mankind. It is my wish that people who practice karate-do should always keep these things in mind;- a modest heart, gentle attitude and peace for mankind. The spirit of "Karate ni sente nashi" is thus fulfilled.
