I would like to express my most sincere thanks and best wishes to everyone who has sent me cards, texts and emails with "Get Well Soon" wishes during my period of incapacity.

Your support and loyalty has been quite overwhelming and I am deeply touched.

Not least of all is my wife Dawn who pushed me around everywhere in a wheelchair & gave up her job & career to look after me the whole time.

I am also eternally indebted to Nizar who has "stepped into the breach" so that students don't miss out on their training & gradings.

Also a BIG thank you to all the surgeons, doctors, nurses & staff who helped me during my stay at the

Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading when I had an operation on my back.

Namely: Dr. P. McKenna, (Roji, Bella, Hak, Jenny, Kate, Sita, Mel in the Lister Ward) & (Chris Edge, Christine & Laura from the anaesthetist staff) plus many more whose names I did not catch.
